So as you may know my family are crazy for Disneyland. Thanks to Kelli and Brian, they have converted all of us to just love Disneyland. Well, with the snow and us catching the Disneyland fever we decided to go. It was just Randy, Chase, and I and our friends the Botts. Anyway, we had a great time, in fact-- one of the days ranked up there with the best ever because we got to basically walk on every ride. Which was funny because that was the day that the people at Disney decided to make all our dreams come true by giving us the Disney dream fast passes for the day, which means we got to skip to the front of the lines on most of the rides. It was a great trip. I must say our weather was the pits for most of the time but on Monday it cleared up and we even had to put sun screen on. It rained for most of the time. The only day I would say was bad was Saturday because the rain was horrible and it was really cold but it was also really crowded so it wasn't like the rain kept people away.

Chase had a blast and I would say some of his highlights included the Bugs Life movie where he kept the glasses on this time and got a taste of 3D for the first time ever. He would try to catch everything that was in fornt of him and even fell off his seat trying it. He loved it. He always loves Buzz, "Abominable Snowman Ride", Alice, Dumbo, and of course Pirates!

Me and Randy's highlights were, of course, seeing Chase's smiles on everything, getting the fast passes, Randy scoring over a million on the Buzz ride (it helped that we got stuck for ten minutes, and hearing the news that Randy's sister Debbie had her little girl (3 weeks early-- but as you may know girls are hard to come by in both our families so we are so excited to have a girl cousin! Welcome baby Maeve Maryanne Lewis. Both baby and mom are doing great.

Mom My Ride

Okay so a friend sent this link to me a while back but it is still a classic over here. Especially because, even though I only have one kid-- my car feels like this 90% of the time. I swear one minute after it has been cleaned, vacuumed-- the works-- Chase takes no time at all to get it back to the way he must like it! Anyway, this is definitely worth watching. Pretty funny.

Cool Cousin

One of the best things about my sister Kelli is her hand-me-down clothes I get. She has 5 boys and her youngest is 5 so that means Chase is the lucky recipient of all her clothes (and those of you who know Kelli, know she is a shopper). Anyway, our favorites are the basketball/ football/ baseball jerseys she gives us. Well, she recently gave us a John Stockton jersey and he was wearing it when we went to visit. When we got there Griffin saw and instantly went and changed into his John Stockton jersey and sweats to match. Then they played ball for a while before it turned to swords and pirates. I just love these precious moments.

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy love day to everyone. I know they say this is a holiday for commercial purposes only but I don't care. I am not one for making a big deal out of it but I do like a good card. I love taking another day out of the year to remind everyone that I love them. Today Chase and I spent the day delivering valentine cookies and cards to frineds and family and members of our primary class. We also decided to take balloons to Randy's office. We have not been to visit him since they moved into their new office building. Anyway, he still needs a womans touch in his office-- he has not hung one picture or done anything at all to spice up his office. Anyway, after Randy got home I took off to Red Lobster to put our name down. I got there at 5 and it was only an hour wait. Kelli, Brian, my mom and Randy joined me just in time to be seated while Tyler watched the kids. Needless to say it was a really fun day-- I love those days that break up the week.

Geisler 60th Anniversary

On Saturday we traveled up to Pocatello, Idaho to celebrate my Grandma and Grandpa Geislers 60th Wedding Anniversary. The whole family showed up for a surprise party. It was great. they were definitely shocked and very thrilled to see everyone. We had a fun time talking and reminiscing. There was a wonderful tribute given by a lot of the family and it was fun to hear the different memories of my grandma and grandpa.

For me, I will always remember going to the Rocketeer with them and Grandpa complaining about the cost of popcorn. I LOVED all their games they had at their house-- namely Payday-- that is one I didn't have at my house. I loved their treehouse, and camping trips with them to Willow Flat. I enjoy their birthday cards they send on time without fail. I was blessed to be baptised by my grandpa as well as him being able to be a witness at my wedding. My grandma was one of the very few people-- the only family member to send me letters while I was in Jerusalem-- which meant the world. I am so grateful for them and their example to me. They are such a cute couple and I only can hope that I end up like them. Thanks for everything Grandma and Grandpa. We love you!

Survivor fans vs faves

So many of you may be aware that I am a huge Survivor fan-- so I am just letting you all know my plans tonight and that is to watch the first episode of Survivor Fans vs Faves. I will admit CBS made a mistake by leaving me off of this season because I am clearly one of the biggest fans out there. Other shows I watch are Americas Top Model, Amazing Race, So you Think You Can Dance, and Project Runway. I cannot wait for the writers strike to end because above everything-- aside from Survivor-- The Office rules. I also like Las Vegas, and Law and Order. I sound completely pathetic-- however-- tivo/ dvr is the greatest invention of my time-- some might argue the computer or maybe the phone but I would have to say tivo. Anybody else a fan of Survivor?

Go Giants!

So I am not a Giants fan but I did start rooting for them when they were on the verge of not making the play-offs and just kept winning in order to pull it off. They just were the ultimate cinderella story-- so I was excited when they capped their amazing journey to the superbowl with a win over the UNDEFEATED Patriots. I do feel bad that their streek had to end that way-- but it was really fun to see the Giants pull the upset-- who doesn't love a good upset? I guess that is one good way to describe myself-- I love the underdog! None of these dynasties for me please (unless it is the Braves, the Jazz, and any family member who happens to be playing or coaching, or announcing for certain teams and then in that case go ahead and dominate!) Anyway, good job Giants-- and especially Eli Manning-- that was pretty special to have the Mannings be back to back MVPs. As for the commercials this year I have to give them a resounding thumbs down. We liked the salted peanut/ ggek girl and Will Ferrell, and Calebs favorite was the dancing lizards but all-in-all very disappointing!

Bowling Night

So we decided to go bowling Saturday night. We wanted to get Chase out of the house and he was thrilled with the option of bowling. Anyway, we had a good time. Chase insisted on doing everything himself which is not easy for a 2 year old to carry an 8lb bowling ball and lift it up on the ramp that he then pushed the ball down from. He loved it though and even bowled one strike and one spare. Randy on the otherhand had one of his best rounds ever. He had a rocky start but finished strong with five strikes in a row. It was unfortunate that the game ended so we couldn't find out where his streek would end. He finished with a 164. Not bad considering we go MAYBE once a year. Good job honey!
