Happy Earth Day!

Our trees were so heavy they needed a little help getting to their final resting place!
One tree-- can't wait for the leaves!

A couple others!

Trying to get that tree in place-- not easy!

So in honor of earth day we have decided to plant trees and start our landscaping! (Okay, not really-- it was just a fun coincidence). But here is a first look at our progress-- I will keep post our fished project when-- and if it ever occurs! (I need to give a couple shout outs to our friend Trent for giving us the heads up about the price of these amazing trees! $50 per tree and they were big! Also a shout out to our friend Dave H and his crew for giving us the jump start and finish in this project-- as well as Roberto for digging all the holes and planting three of them!) All these people get a high five for earth day!

Where Does the Time Go?

We crammed all three boosters in the back of the Lewis Burb-- totally worth it!
Star Tours line-- one of the boys new favorites!

Baby Maeve was so adorable in this picture! Love it!

So I haven't posted for a few weeks and a lot has happened! We had Easter and Spring Break-- which included yet another trip to Disneyland. I really didn't take any pictures at Easter and so all you get is what seems to be the same old photos from every other trip we take to Dland.

For Easter, we just hung around here and had a few different egg hunts, and the horrible mother that I am forgot to take any pictures--I will rectify that real soon and just take "spring" pictures. Anyway, it was just really low key.

Then Chase and I were off to Disneyland with the Lewis clan. Since we have annual passes we decided to hitch a ride and join them. We had another great trip riding the rides and swimming-- and just spending time with cousins. I must say that near the end of the week it was CRAZY busy! I am surprised they even allowed us to use our annual passes-- it quite surely should have been a block out date! Oh well-- it was fun regardless. Thanks Deb and Quincey for the fun! We really had a blast-- not a bad way to spend a week!

Over the last few weeks Randy took Chase to a Jazz game with-- yet again-- the Lewis family! They had a great time and Chase came home with one of his new favorite mementos-- the big foam finger! He LOVES it! That thing was a hit! We also threw a garage sale! We finally got rid of the massive pile of stuff just waiting to go to the DI and now my basement feels so much less cluttered! So worth it! Plus we made a little spending money for our trip! Yipee!

In other news-- we are working hard training for our first triathlon. I thought I would die with the swimming part but have decided I REALLY like to swim! This training has been so good to vary my routines a little and I am really enjoying it-- I guess we'll soon see if it will help me actually finish the race but here's hoping!

I also have yet another ward calling-- I am still the YW sports Director but I also am assistant camp leader! I know most of you are laughing at me but truly I am so excited for this calling. I LOVED camp and I think it should be pretty fun to get to know the other girls as well as the other leaders!

Is that everything? I am sure it isn't but it will do for now!

Happy Birthday Buddy!

This is one of Chases friends who did not want to be near Jack Sparrow but wanted to see Cinderella!
Chase in heaven!

All the many friends who came to Chases party!

His cake! (Albertson's in case you are wondering!)
So Chase turned the big 4 yesterday! And I must say that I am sad. I totally HATE it! I keep telling him to stop growing. I truly would freeze time right now if I could. He is just the best kid who is my best buddy! I love him so much! Anyway, for a long time he has been saying he wanted a pirate party and so happily I agreed and have been somewhat planning it for over a month now. I knew parties were a lot of work but I must say this may be his last one at our house! It was a lot of fun but it was crazy! I also must say that my pictures do not do it justice-- my mom took lots with her camera so if I can I will download more from hers! So-- we played gamesand went on a treasure hunt-- the highlight was the end of the hunt where they found a treasure pinata but they also discovered our special guests Jack Sparrow and Cinderella. Most of the kids were thrilled but there were a few kids who were very skeptical and really nervous about the visitors. I need to thank Lance for his arranging the guests-- it all started by me asking him to show up and that I would pay him but he decided he knew a better fit for the job and also asked if we wanted Cinderella to come along and of course I said yes. Thank goodness I did because the girls were the one very nervous about Jack but all of them LOVED Cinderella. (Note: one of the pictures above was one of them deathly afraid of Jack and looks a little leery in the picture because Jack was nearby taking a photo with someone else.) After the visitors said their goodbye we opened presents and blew out the candles. Then I let them eat dirt. (Ice cream covered with crushed Oreos made to look like dirt!) They thought that was pretty crazy-- until Chases friend Dallin yelled, "Hey, it's not dut, it's oeos" (didn't say the r sound). Very cute! I thought it was a fitting end for an April Fools Pirate Party!
Now that it is over, I am definitely in recovery mode! All in all it was a success. It will be fun to see what he wants for his birthday next year!
