Kindergarten... here we come!!!

So this week was kindergarten sign-ups and Chase is thrilled! I on the other hand am starting to dread it. Most people say they have a hard time with first grade when they are gone all day-- but for some reason I just feel like kindergarten is this huge step that I am not ready for my baby to take. I have said this before but I just want to freeze time. I just love everything about his age and size and personality. He has even started reading the pre school reader books and I started to cry when he got it because he is just getting so big. Anyway, Chase cannot be more excited to start school. He has been dying to go to the same school as Caleb and Grif. I have even been trying to scare him out of it by telling him he'll have to get his kindergarten shots and he still insists on going. When we pulled up to the school to register he walked in so proud, with his arms folded and chest out high-- he even saw Griffin outside playing football which made him even more excited. Anyway, he could not be more excited-- I feel bad that he has to wait until August to actually start.

Cousin Brothers

So this past week we were lucky enough to have Griffin and Caleb come stay with us while their parents went on a mini vacation. We had a really great time. We went to the NickelCity, and bowling, had treasure hunts, and played the Wii. Chase loves spending time with cousins and so this week was a really special treat for him. With all our fun activities this is the only picture I managed to take-- but I love it because it captures them all playing their DS's just before bed and it just seems to capture a moment in time that I will treasure.

Movie Night...

The other night Lance suggested we all watch the tv series Twin Peaks that he bought and had heard a lot about-- so we decided to oblige, however, we soon discovered that the series DVDs did not include the pilot which sets up the whole show. So Lance found it on the internet-- the only problem was that it was an hour and a half and sitting in our office is not a cozy place to sit and watch a movie-- so we moved the couch in there and cozied up. (Sorry the picture quality stinks but I can't find my camera so the camera from my phone will just have to do.)

Superbowl Sunday!

So today was Superbowl 44-- and we celebrated by attending my cousin Sarah's Superbowl bash! It was awesome. Great food, fun people, and of course a great game. We also graciously accepted our winnings for our Fantasy Football League-- my forty hours a week that I put into the League just bought me a new bookcase for my office! It just goes to show that hard work does pay off. Anyway, sorry to tell all you Colt fans I was cheering for the Saints so all-in-all it was a FABULOUS night! A special thanks goes out to my amazing, creative, funny, awesome, fun-to-be-with, talented, smart, friend and cousin Sarah! I just love you and think the world of you-- Happy Birthday and thanks for everything!!!

PS The second picture is one of my favorite pictures of me with my cousin Sarah and my Grandma. I always cherished my many visits to Logan to hang out with Sarah and get spoiled by Grandma. I even used to wish that I had grown up there. I love my many memories that I had there-- including but not limited to: tubing the canal, golf ball hunting, Aggie ice cream, Frederico's, Juniper Take-Out, sleepovers-- including my first all nighter, my first "boyfriend," chilling at the mall, making home movies, and just hanging out with the Kerr family-- I love them dearly!!!
